30x30 inch Poster printed on Paper

16.02.2013

It's funny you know? February the 14th 2013 just flew by and for those stuck in a mind sweep, that means it was Valentines Day. I could'nt help but wonder about the chance factor that life supplies us all with and how it kind of works along the same principles as Quantum Mechanics. For example, we are all tiny bits of matter, little electrons walking around this vast green and blue land, we call earth. I was welcomed into earth at precisely 8:33pm somewhere in Poole, UK. I'm hoping it was a hospital. I then crawled and eventually walked. Began to talk and then indulged into hormonal interactivity. I then, after drinking not the normal amount of alchohol one human should consume, stumbled across a beautiful young lady. She, entered the world randomly too, somewhere further up the country, a few hundred miles away perhaps. This I could not figure out.

If you think about the mechanics that perhaps an electron would use, firing straight through the universe at an alarming rate, separating themselves when an obstacle is in the way and then creating many interference patterns by joining up again... it kind of reminds me of a cities form of interaction, like Paris. Humans, all apart of the same electron, hustling around at an alarming rate and crossing paths with, hopefully and eventually destined partners. Through some sort of astronomical sequence of random events, the decision to take a left at Gare Du Nord station and wait for 10 minutes next to a pretty brunette turned out ok.

The decisions we are handed with daily, is indeed mind-boggling. Wether that decision was the correct decision out of the hundreds of other decisions? Well, let's just enjoy the company we manage to acquière first. It's much easier that way right?

As you may of noticed already, changes have been made to this website. However, these changes are only simple changes, mainly revolving around my current destination in life.

I have been employed as a designer for both print & web, for nearly 8 months now and loving every bit of it. Hence the changes to my current portfolio. I have made the decision to turn the website into more of a think tank, rather than a projector for my work. This will be the place where I will post recent writings, music and fascinating inspirations across a huge number of mediums. I will also post some of my most recent work.

From this, the site has had a quick make over and I have dragged all of the unnecessary items away. Basically a good spring clean. I will be posting as much as I can in and out of work. Hopefully, this area will feature some thoughts and ideas along with some of my colleagues thoughts too.

There are a million options to choose from, so it is down to us as humans to keep an eye out for them. The animation above to me, puts this lightly into perspective. This is something I have noticed as I have got older and advice I think all of us can learn from. Changes are not something to be afraid of, rather something to be embraced.

I hope to inform, bring value and perspective with the information that will be displayed here, over the next coming months. Most importantly though, I hope it all makes sense.
